When you think of a toll free phone number, you probably think of an 800 number ( 1-800) that businesses use. But you can also get a personal toll free number. These are not limited to 800. 866 and 888 are also popular. One of the reasons for a toll free number is so your long distance friends can call you and you pay for the minutes. I will get more into why you would want to do this later.

Another reason is so you can have a toll free voicemail and fax capabilities without an incoming fax machine hooked up.
